Through SMART5GRID, included in the Horizon 2020 program, promoted by the European Commission, the consortium intends to evaluate how 5G, capable of operating at low latencies and high speeds, can manage numerous objects and, thanks to Network Slicing and the cloud approach, enable different services on a single physical network. WindTre‘s fifth generation network will support the development of new network applications (NetApps) that favor digital transformation in different vertical contexts, such as that of Smart Energy for the enhancement of innovative solutions in the energy sector, industry 4.0, mobility and public safety of future Smart Cities.
